Workaround for Apps Stuck in “Waiting…” on iOS 15.4.1
I did not wake up today thinking that I was going to find a workaround to an update for iOS, but here we are. I am putting my experience to good use today! These steps were working for me after an update to iOS 15.4.1 from iOS 15.4 on an iPhone 13 Pro Max. So without further ado, here is the video to fix Apps Stuck in waiting iOS 15.4.1
Here is how to Fix Apps Stuck in “Waiting…” on iOS 15.4.1:
- Long Tap on the app in the waiting state to bring up the menu. It should have the options to “Prioritize Download”, “Edit Home Screen”, and “Share App”
- Tap anywhere else on the screen to close the menu
- Long Tap again on the app in the waiting state to bring up the menu with the options to “Prioritize Download”, “Edit Home Screen”, and “Share App”. After the menu pops up, this time there will be another option: “Cancel Download”.
- Click “Cancel Download”
- The app should now become available and work properly
- Repeat for all Apps
So that’s how to fix the Apps Stuck in waiting iOS 15.4.1 error. This may not work for everyone, but it worked for me and I am sharing it to hopefully help others as well.
